so, today, godaddy called me at about 3:30pm to …chat? it was probably the weirdest marketing/sales/support/survey call i’ve ever received. this is a paraphrasing of the exchange.

1600 Schools.
Every Province and Territory.
Over 1 Million Students.
But now, we’re turning schools away.
Have a Heart is a wildly successful HIV/AIDS education program. High-school students are empowered to learn about HIV, how to make healthy choices, and share the information with their peers.
It’s shocking: Over 50% of incoming grade nine students in Canada wrongly believe there is a cure or vaccine for HIV.
The Heart O’Grams distributed by students in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day set the record straight.
And not only do they get a pamphlet, condom, and a red ribbon into young hands - dynamic youth leaders help raise money for research to end AIDS.
We’re beyond our capacity. We stretched to include an additional 100 schools above our threshold of 1500 this year.
We are heartbroken to turn schools away. But to grow the program to 2500 schools, we need your support.
Every $25 helps us reach another school.
Every donation, big or small, goes a long way to help educate thousands more Canadian youth.
This Valentine’s Day, please Have a Heart.
Your support solves our best problem ever.

In its reincarnation as a night club I saw a lot of great U.S indie bands in The Reverb and some bloodcurdling Metal and footapping SKa in The Katherdral, althou Holy Joe’s is still just the weird fountain room to me.
The Big Bop closes forever on Sunday and here is a link to a pretty good article about the club.
